So we will offer different comfort things. We’ll offer blankets, we’ll offer noise canceling headphones, we’ll have the tv on for them, have a nice warm towel at the end of their appointment, we’ll offer water, and then options with nitrous oxide or laughing gas is an option. Sometimes we’ll prescribe something to kind of have to put the patient at ease before they even get here.
All those things kind of work together to make it as pleasant of an experience as possible. It really makes it easier for everyone. So it makes it easier for the patient, makes it easier for us.
If they’re not anxious, then we’re able to make it quicker, making it more efficient, and really be able to do what we need to do on the patient. When they’re anxious and they’re not wanting to be here and they’re kind of moving around a lot, then it makes it not as comfortable, makes it less predictable, and so really it’s better for not only the patient, but for us as well.
